John J. "Jack" O'Brien is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Investment Management Practice. Mr. O'Brien focuses his practice on investment company and exchange-traded fund matters, private fund organization and management, and broker-dealer and investment adviser regulation. He represents many types of registered and unregistered investment companies and fund managers in connection with organizational and compliance matters. Mr. O'Brien also counsels broker-dealer clients with respect to transactions in exchange-traded funds.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Mr. O'Brien was a law clerk with Independence Blue Cross and the Philadelphia Office of Disciplinary Counsel.
Mr. O'Brien earned his J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University in 2008, where he was the executive editor for the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and co-chair of the Honor Board. He earned his M.B.A. from Villanova University School of Business in 2008 and his B.S. in psychology and his B.A. in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005.
Mr. O'Brien is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
