Kevin Stonelake focuses his practice on eDiscovery, data preservation, litigation hold management, and information governance. He offers strategic oversight on data retention and disposition for global corporations, advising on how litigation holds can impact data retention schedules and device lifecycle management. As a veteran member of Morgan Lewis’s eData practice, Kevin delivers a range of eDiscovery services. He collaborates with in-house legal teams, IT departments, records management professionals, and external technology vendors to oversee litigation management from start to finish.
- Served as co-lead on legal hold, data preservation, and collection teams for global aerospace, global medical technology, and global energy companies, working directly with in-house attorneys on data retention, compliance, preservation, and privacy matters
- Served as the eDiscovery lead for representation of a global software corporation, organizing custodial interviews, data collection, data culling, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) for dozens of matters over the course of 15-plus years; this included matters dealing with intellectual property infringement, breach of contract, product liability, employment disputes, and internal investigations
- Served as the eDiscovery lead for an international food and facility service corporation, organizing data collection, data culling, review, and production of ESI for dozens of matters for more than 10 years; this included matters dealing with breach of contract, employment disputes, and internal investigations
- Acted as an eDiscovery consultant for a media, news, and entertainment company, overseeing US Federal Trade Commission Second Request document review and production and ensuring that third-party vendor practices complied with legal and regulatory requirements, met government deadlines, and protected the client’s interests and rights
