employer work rules and handbooks: | |
do your employment policies meet the new federal guidelines? |
|
The National Labor Relations Board’s (NLRB’s) general counsel recently released guidance regarding employee handbooks and work rules. This guidance applies to all employers—both union and nonunion. The guidance, designed to protect employees’ rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), makes common employee handbook provisions and other workplace policies unlawful. All employers should carefully review existing policies to determine whether they are at risk of challenge. Join us for a webinar to review the new employer guidance as well as some of the other areas where the NLRB is making inroads into the nonunion workplace. We will explore best practices for dealing with these issues, including drafting employee handbook provisions and policies. |
