Lisa Merod represents clients throughout the full employment lifecycle in the Middle East, covering advisory work, to contentious proceedings, to transactional work. Lisa assists from the recruitment of a company’s first employees in the region (including drafting of the employment documentation) to complex termination processes and litigation procedures. Her experience spans the UAE (including financial free zones Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and Qatar (including the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC)).

- Representing a DIFC investment company in the defense of a claim for outstanding employment entitlements and alleged entitlements under a carry agreement before the Dubai International Financial Centre Court of First Instance
- Representing a global bank in the defense of a claim containing allegations of whistleblowing and discrimination before the Dubai International Financial Centre Court of First Instance
