Morgan Lewis Represents Conning & Company in Acquisition Stake in MGG Investment Group

NEW YORK, October 1, 2025: Morgan Lewis advised Conning & Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Generali Investments, in the acquisition of a 77% stake in MGG Investment Group and its affiliates.

Conning is an investment management firm serving insurance companies and other institutional investors. Generali is a global investment management firm and part of the Generali Group. MGG is a US private direct lending investment firm with more than $6.5 billion in assets under management.

Partner Sheryl Orr, of counsel Jason Capps, and associate Dorian Deen represented Conning along with partners Allison Gargano, David Harbaugh, Chris Paridon, and David Zelikoff.
