Toby R. Serkin

Toby Serkin’s practice primarily focuses on the representation of both open-end and closed-end funds, investment advisers, and fund directors. She counsels clients on a wide variety of regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. Her practice also includes organizing and providing ongoing advice to offshore funds for non-US investors and other private investment funds. In addition, Toby represents lenders and funds in financing transactions, including loans to registered investment companies.

Toby has been involved in a number of special projects, including playing a significant role in the review of compliance programs for both major mutual fund advisers and smaller fund complexes. In addition, Toby has had significant involvement in a number of fund reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions of fund advisers.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Toby was a partner in the investment management practice of another international law firm.
