Rachel Lewis represents institutional owners and investors, investment managers, large banks, and corporate-end users in commercial real estate transactions nationally. Rachel regularly advises on transactions relating to commercial real estate, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, and financing of virtually all commercial property types, including multifamily housing, office buildings, industrial and fulfillment complexes, healthcare facilities, retail centers, mixed-use projects, and parcels of vacant land. Her work includes advising clients in refinancing transactions, multistate portfolio transactions, and large-scale development negotiations.
Rachel also has experience representing clients in complex ground lease development projects, including advising the country’s largest developer of student housing, as well as structuring leasing and subleasing arrangements for real estate operating companies and corporate users. Her experience and attention to clients’ business needs and strategic objectives enables her to deliver practical yet thorough solutions in transactions.
Rachel’s commitment to community service and pro bono work is an integral part of who she is. Prior to attending law school, Rachel taught seventh-grade English and social studies in the School District of Philadelphia through Teach for America. She presently serves as a board member of Rebuilding Together Philadelphia (RTP), a nonprofit organization, and is a co-leader of the firm’s Mobilizing for Equality Law Enforcement Policy Working Group.
