Dr. Joachim Heine
Dr. Joachim Heine leads clients through complex public and private mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, private equity transactions, cooperations, and venture capital financings, with an emphasis on financial services and life sciences transactions. During his accomplished career of more than 20 years, he has handled numerous international projects ranging from multibillion-dollar public takeovers to mid-size M&A deals and venture capital financing for clients in Germany, the United States, Sweden, China, and Japan.
Joachim adeptly tailors solutions to meet each client’s distinctive needs and serves as a trusted advisor to corporations in the financial services, medical devices, pharmaceutical, and biotechindustries.
He brings a unique perspective to his legal work by drawing on his experience as a banker with one of the premier international German banks and as an in-house lawyer with the investment banking division of a worldwide leading international Swiss bank. Using this relevant background, he applies pertinent insights into the business needs of clients and the commercial and financial mechanisms used in complex and high-end M&A projects and venture capital financings.
