EPA Listing Signals New Scrutiny of Drugs in Drinking Water, Law360

2026年05月14日

Partners Rick Rothman, Ella Foley Gannon, and David Brown, and associate Walker Clegg co-authored an Expert Analysis article for Law360 examining the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) draft Sixth Contaminant Candidate List (CCL 6), which, for the first time, identifies pharmaceuticals as a contaminant group for potential future regulation under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

The article analyzes the potential implications for pharmaceutical companies and outlines practical considerations as the EPA advances the CCL 6 process and related monitoring initiatives.
