CHICAGO, August 26, 2014: The National Law Journal named the firm’s Chicago Labor and Employment Practice a Chicago Litigation Department of the Year Honoree in a special report published Monday.
Citing the firm’s “muscle to win the fights that businesses face with workers,” the publication highlighted important victories on behalf of clients in a wide variety of industries, including technology, energy, and retail. Some of the wins were accomplished without going to trial.
Among the lawyers singled out by The National Law Journal were partners Thomas Hurka and Charles Jackson and senior counsel Nina Stillman. The recognition included a “Keys to Success” feature with contributions from partner Sari Alamuddin, who heads the 20-lawyer Chicago labor and employment group. These include understanding the client’s business, being a business partner, contributing perspectives from other companies, and teamwork.
