OhioHealth Settles Antitrust Suit With the DOJ, Healthcare Dive

Healthcare Dive cited a Morgan Lewis LawFlash written by partners Zachary Johns, Ryan Kantor, and Scott McBride and associates Vincent Papa and Nicholas Pfeiffer in an article examining OhioHealth’s proposed settlement with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Ohio attorney general over allegations that the health system used anticompetitive contract provisions in its agreements with insurers.

Drawing on the LawFlash, the article noted that the settlement reflects the DOJ’s renewed focus on health system contracting practices, which had not been seen since the DOJ’s challenge to Carolinas HealthCare System in 2016.
