Bill Huang

Bill represents clients in contentious matters and helps safeguard clients' interests in cross-border arbitration and litigation proceedings. Bill has experience assisting Chinese clients in handling large and time-consuming commercial litigations in the United States  and navigating through the complex discovery proceedings. Bill's experience also includes representing Chinese clients in Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings in the United States.

Bill is familiar with PRC data privacy and cybersecurity laws, and regularly assists clients in conducting gap analysis, preparing privacy policies and consent forms, drafting data processing agreements, and performing data protection impact assessment. In addition, Bill advises on compliance issues under PRC law regarding cross-border data transfer, especially those regarding outbound data transfer for overseas litigations or government investigations.

Bill's practice further includes counseling on foreign direct investment and corporate matters in China and due diligence in merger and acquisition (M&A) and IPO transactions. By applying his compliance and dispute resolution experience in transactional matters, Bill provides practical and compliant legal solutions to help clients mitigate legal risks and achieve their strategic goals.
