Partner and co-leader of the privacy and cybersecurity practice Reece Hirsch shared with Legaltech News his thoughts on major cybersecurity and data privacy developments over the past year, calling 2023 a “a watershed year for the passage of state privacy laws, accelerating the trend begun with the passage of the California Consumer Privacy Act in 2018.”
“Like so many other businesses, law firms must consider whether they will need to revise their website privacy policies to comply with new privacy laws in Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas, which will go into effect over the next three years,” said Reece.
