Financial Information Forum's Presentation on the SEC's ATS Proposal Part Two

1 марта 2022 г.

Investment management partner Ignacio Sandoval and associate Kyle Whitehead presented the second installment to the Financial Information Forum (FIF) membership on the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s proposal to expand the definition of “exchange” and bring additional trading and messaging platforms under Regulation ATS, including platforms that trade US Treasury securities, government agency securities, and other government securities, as well as repurchase and reverse repurchase agreements on such securities.

Attendees of the presentation included representatives from nearly 40 firms, including a “who’s who” of the financial industry and many Morgan Lewis clients. This followed the team's February 15 presentation that centered on the proposal's focus on “communication protocol systems” such as request-for-quote platforms, indication-of-interest platforms, digital asset platforms, and other messaging platforms.
