Catherine Eschbach

Catherine Eschbach works with our team of litigation lawyers who provide services in a wide range of sectors including environmental, corporate investigations, toxic torts, products liability, and consumer fraud, and serve as trial, strategic, permitting, and coordinating counsel in large, complex matters. Catherine joins Morgan Lewis after serving as a law clerk to Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Judge David Hittner of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Extended Profile

Catherine’s clerkship experience, which includes assisting with more than 25 trials, enables her to effectively guide clients through all stages of the litigation process. During law school, Catherine briefed and argued a successful First Amendment appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit as part of Pepperdine School of Law’s Ninth Circuit Appellate Advocacy Clinic.

In addition to her experience clerking on the Fifth Circuit, Catherine also externed for Judge Sandra S. Ikuta of the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. While in law school, she served as the symposium editor for the Pepperdine Law Review, was a member of the Order of the Coif, and received the Judge Barry Russell Federal Practice Award from the Los Angeles Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

Catherine is very active in the Houston legal community, chairing the Houston Young Lawyers Association’s Judiciary Committee and serving on the board of the Houston Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society.
