Funke Philip advises international fund managers and global institutional investors on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds, primary investments, coinvestments, and secondary market purchases of interests in investment funds. She represents clients in private equity, infrastructure, and real estate sectors. Funke also handles financial services regulatory matters. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, she was an associate in the investment funds practice of a leading law firm and was a regulatory associate at the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
Funke has experience advising on the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 200 and the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) regulatory regime.
Earlier in her career, Funke was seconded to an international private equity fund where she worked on investment management transactions and financial services regulatory issues. She also served at an international bank where she advised on M&A transactions.
