Jason C. White

Jason C. White is a first-chair trial lawyer who leads litigation teams tackling intellectual property (IP) disputes involving utility patents, design patents, trademarks, trade dress, unfair competition, and trade secrets. Jason has served as lead counsel in several recent jury and bench trials in district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the US Court of International Trade. He also leads appellate teams and has argued many cases before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jason is the head of the Chicago IP practice and a co-leader of the technology IP disputes practice.

Jason regularly represents both petitioners and patent owners in post-grant proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office. With an undergraduate degree in electrical and computer engineering, Jason has experience trying cases that involve technologies such as the internet, ecommerce, computer hardware and software, lithium-ion batteries and related technologies, cellular communications, database search and retrieval, global positioning systems (GPS), automated guidance systems, vehicle control systems, electronic gaming, and medical devices.

Jason was selected by the American Lawyer as Litigator of the Week after securing a $45 million verdict before a US District Court for the District of Delaware jury.

Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jason was a partner in the IP practice at the Chicago office of another international law firm.
