Please join Morgan Lewis and Habitat for Humanity International for a fireside chat on Habitat’s MicroBuild Initiative and MicroBuild Fund 1, the world’s first housing-focused microfinance investment vehicle dedicated to helping low-income families improve their homes.
Jonathan Reckford, Habitat's CEO, and Roland Pearson, executive director of Habitat’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter, will share the origins of the MicroBuild Initiative and how capital and technical assistance is provided to financial institutions to develop affordable housing loan products for low-income families.
MicroBuild Fund 1 disbursed a cumulative total of $230 million across 62 institutions in 33 countries in new and renewed loans. The MicroBuild Initiative seeks to take this impact even further.
