Morgan Lewis partner Matt Miner spoke with Global Investigations Review about the potential impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the US government’s corporate enforcement efforts. In the article, Matt noted that counsel for a company concerned about its future ability to pay a fine should raise that with prosecutors now. “You don’t want prosecutors to assume negotiations can pick up where they left off pre-crisis, even though the company’s economic reality may have changed dramatically in the interim,” he said.
