Alexandre Bailly is an esteemed litigation lawyer who represents multinational and French industrial and financial clients in high-stakes international business disputes, with a particular focus on complex business matters. He assists clients through every phase of their disputes, from prelitigation, including the expertise proceedings stage, to post-litigation enforcement.

Alexandre also has a strong commercial contracts practice, counselling clients on the drafting and negotiation of international agreements, including amicable settlement agreements.

He is a key advisor thanks to his experience and responsiveness, combined with his strategic vision and knowledge of international business relationships.

Alexandre has an impressive track record of arbitrated and litigated matters in various sectors, including banking, commercial contracts, construction, energy/oil and gas, engineering, healthcare, industrial risks, and bankruptcy. He represents companies in the automotive, aerospace, aviation, construction, data centers, energy, technology, and consumer products industries.

Alexandre also has experience in complex international debt collection including the enforcement of foreign awards and rulings and related litigation. In particular, he represented a leading European industrial consortium at the enforcement stage of an ICC arbitral award against a Taiwanese consortium, characterized by the Arbitration Scorecard of The American Lawyer as the “most dramatic collection” in the summer of 2005.

Alexandre is the author of numerous legal articles on key legal and procedural developments in France and internationally in relation to arbitration, litigation and regulatory issues, in particular in the Thomson Reuters Global Guides for Arbitration Procedures and Practice in France; Litigation and Enforcement in France; and Class, Collective, and Representative Actions in France, and also in the International Comparative Legal Guide (ICLG Guide) for the Class & Group Actions French chapter.

Alexandre is qualified and listed as a mediator in various institutions, including the Court of Appeal of Paris.

He is also qualified as counsel in alternative dispute resolution and as a consultant in the management of crisis.

A native French speaker, Alexandre is also fluent in English and Spanish.
