American Health Law Association Annual Meeting 2024

Partners Amy Magnano and Jacob Harper will present at the American Health Law Association’s Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.

Amy will feature on the presentation Gender Affirming Care and State and Federal Privacy Laws: Opportunities and Responsibilities in an Evolving Landscape, taking place on Monday, June 24, at 1:45 pm. The talk will cover the basics of what healthcare providers need to know regarding gender-affirming care, a review of state quality improvement and assurance laws, and how these new changes operate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.

Jake’s keynote, Advanced Care at Home: Understanding Legal Risks for This New Care Delivery Model, will cover the new developments around taking advanced care out of the hospital and into the home, a trend that started during COVID-19 and has continued to evolve. Jake’s presentation will begin at 4:30 on Monday, June 24.
