Breaking Down Plastics: 2026 Regulation and Litigation Updates

Regulation of plastics continues to evolve as policymakers, regulators, and litigants respond to growing environmental and waste management concerns. This session reviews the evolution of plastics-related legal challenges and provides updates on recent litigation, emerging regulations, and extended producer responsibility (EPR) initiatives.

The discussion will include developments related to California’s Truth in Recycling Law (SB 343), Oregon’s Plastic Pollution and Recycling Modernization Act (SB 582), and the current landscape of both state and federal plastics litigation.

CLE credit in CA, FL, IL, NY*, PA, TX, and VA is currently pending approval. Credit in CT and NJ is pending approval (via reciprocity). CLE credit is not available for the viewing of recorded sessions.
