Steven C. Browne concentrates on business and securities law, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate finance, private equity financing transactions, public offerings, SEC compliance, and technology transfer and licensing.
Steven is general counsel to public and privately held companies in a variety of industries and at all stages of growth. He represents a range of technology companies, from startup to global public company. He also represents private equity firms and hedge funds in complex structured finance transactions as well as early and later stage financings and restructurings. Steven is trusted counsel to boards of directors on corporate governance and related matters.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Steven was the managing partner of another international law firm, where he was also a partner in their corporate practice.
Represented Citrix Systems in numerous acquisitions, including its $470 million acquisition of XenSource Inc., its $320 million acquisition of Netscaler Inc., its $235 million acquisition of Expertcity.com, and its acquisitions of Unidesk Corp., Norscale, Grasshopper Group, LLC, Bytemobile, Virtual Computer, Inc., Podio ApS, EMS-Cortex Ltd., App-DNA Group Ltd., RingCube, ShareFile, Cloud.com, VMLogix, Netviewer, Paglo Labs Inc., Vidsoft gmbh, Caymas Systems, QuickTree Inc., Deterministic Networks Inc., thinGenius Ltd., Aurema Inc., Ardence Inc., Orbital Data Corp., Reflectent Software Inc., Teros Inc. and Net6 Inc.
