Morgan Lewis Partner Marc Sonnenfeld Inducted Into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers

PHILADELPHIA, April 7, 2016: Morgan Lewis litigation partner Marc Sonnenfeld has been inducted as a fellow into the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers.  Mr. Sonnenfeld was inducted during the organization’s annual meeting in Washington, DC, April 2-6.

Fellowship in the academy is extended by invitation only to lawyers who have demonstrated outstanding trial skills and experience, as well as the highest standards of personal and professional integrity. The academy promotes the rule of law and reforms in the law, as well as facilitates the administration of justice and works to elevate the standards of the legal profession. Mr. Sonnenfeld joins a membership limited to 500 US fellows under age 70, and includes more than 100 fellows from 30 other countries.

Described by Chambers USA as “an established figure for both his commercial and securities litigation practices,” Mr. Sonnenfeld defends public and private companies, officers, directors, controlling shareholders, and underwriters against securities and shareholder litigation (including derivative cases, claims arising from mergers and acquisitions, and appraisal actions) and related regulatory and enforcement proceedings. He is frequently sought after to counsel directors on corporate governance issues and has served as counsel to board committees.

Mr. Sonnenfeld’s achievements have earned him numerous accolades throughout the years. He is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and has also been recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation, Best Lawyers in America, Law360 and BTI Consulting Group.
