LOS ANGELES, July 11, 2016: Morgan Lewis labor and employment partner Barbara Fitzgerald has been selected by the California Diversity Council (CADC) as one of its 2016 Top 50 Women Lawyers, a definitive list of female executives, influencers, and achievers impacting the legal field.
The honorees represent women who have reached the top of their profession and are effective leaders within their organization, while driving change, contributing to business growth, and inspiring others to succeed. Barbara was selected based on nominations by corporate counsel, other lawyers, and professionals across a number of industries.
This is the first year the list of leading women has been compiled by the CADC, a resource for diversity best practices and leadership development in the state of California, and a part of the larger National Diversity Council, a nonprofit organization committed to fostering a learning environment for organizations to grow in their knowledge of diversity.
Ms. Fitzgerald, leader of the labor and employment practice in Morgan Lewis’s Los Angeles office, represents employers in all areas of employment law. Her practice emphasizes litigation, primarily the defense of claims for wrongful termination, workplace harassment and retaliation, employment discrimination, and individual and class wage and hour claims. Ms. Fitzgerald’s clients include companies in entertainment, health services, financial services, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and transportation.
