Monday, October 1, 2018

MIAMI, October 1, 2018: Effective today, Morgan Lewis partner Mark Zelek begins his tenure as chair of the Juncadella Corporate Counsel Group (JCCG), an informal organization of 300-plus South Florida–based in-house counsel who primarily advise companies with business interests in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The principal purpose of the group is to provide corporate counsel with strategic opportunities for relationship building, networking, sharing of best practices, and career advancement among members. JCCG was founded by former Morgan Lewis international consultant Salvador Juncadella in 1992. In addition to Mr. Zelek’s leadership, the firm supports the group by hosting a majority of its regular programming in partnership with the University of Miami School of Law.

Mr. Zelek is an employment trial lawyer representing companies in wage and hour, discrimination, whistleblower, noncompete, and trade secrets cases. As co-leader of the firm’s global labor and immigration practice, he also handles international and Puerto Rican labor law matters.

“The collective expertise of this group is an invaluable asset for corporations operating in these increasingly important regions of the world,” said Mr. Zelek. “I look forward to building on Salvador Juncadella’s legacy and leading the efforts of our members to develop and share insights beneficial to their companies and peers with interests in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
