ABU DHABI, DUBAI, and WASHINGTON, DC, September 9, 2019: Morgan Lewis has joined the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI), a global program providing news insights, intelligence, and networking opportunities for participants in the sovereign wealth sector.

As a member, Morgan Lewis will help shape meaningful conversations among delegates and actively participate in SWFI events. Bill Nash, managing partner of Morgan Lewis’s Abu Dhabi office and co-leader of the firm’s Middle East practice, and Courtney Nowell, a partner resident in Washington, DC, will hold roles on SWFI’s advisory board.

“Our membership in the SWFI demonstrates our commitment to the global sovereign and institutional investor market,” said Louis Singer, leader of Morgan Lewis’s investment management practice. “Through their advisory board roles, Bill and Courtney, in addition to the wider Morgan Lewis team, will further engage with members and delegates to assist them in achieving their goals.”

"SWFI is proud to recognize Morgan Lewis as one of its newest members,” said SWFI president Michael Maduell. “Their work in the investment management, transactional, sovereign tax and other fields relevant to our members will further the conversation at our events and provide a welcome perspective from the legal community. We look forward to their participation and collaboration to increase the size and prestige of the SWFI Global Membership."

In 2019, Morgan Lewis continued its focus on global depth of capabilities by adding a team of corporate, tax, and investment management lawyers in Washington, DC, and Abu Dhabi, the firm’s 31st office worldwide. Morgan Lewis also has an office in Dubai.
