Morgan Lewis Guides Huntsville Memorial Hospital Deal

Wednesday, March 11, 2020

DALLAS, March 11, 2020: Morgan Lewis represented Walker County Hospital District (WCHD) and a newly formed entity, Huntsville Community Hospital (HCH), in their co-stalking horse purchase of bankrupt Huntsville Memorial Hospital.

WCHD and Community Hospital Corp. (CHC), a Texas-based entity specializing in the management and operation of community-based hospitals across the United States, formed HCH to operate the hospital once the pertinent assets were purchased from Huntsville Memorial Hospital out of bankruptcy.

CHC owns, manages, and consults with hospitals through three distinct organizations: CHC Hospitals, CHC Consulting, and CHC ContinueCARE. Huntsville Memorial Hospital is a 123-bed, Joint Commission-accredited, nonprofit acute care community hospital serving the more than 70,000 residents of Walker County, Texas, and its surrounding communities.

Partners Janice Davis and Sandra Vrejan led the Morgan Lewis team advising WCHD and HCH.
