Morgan Lewis partner Giovanna Cinelli was quoted in a Global Investigations Review article about a reduction in voluntary self-disclosures by companies to the US State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). In the article, she discussed potential contributors to the reduction, such as only sensitive military material remaining on the Munitions List and companies becoming more sophisticated in their reporting. “From about 2000 to 2014, companies would put in a disclosure for things that I would consider not necessarily the type of thing that I believe would warrant it because it wasn’t a systemic issue,” said Giovanna in the article.
