WASHINGTON, DC, March 23, 2022: Morgan Lewis partner Giovanna Cinelli, leader of the firm’s international trade and national security practice, has once again been recognized on Foreign Investment Watch’s (FIW) list of top lawyers who provide legal advice concerning national security reviews of foreign investments in the United States and abroad. This is the third consecutive year she has been recognized by the publication as a Top Advisor.
FIW’s Top Advisor rankings are based on criteria such as experience, reputation, clients served, and references. The publication noted the broad and complex matters Giovanna has handled before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in her ranking, including matters with foreign investors in Japan, China, Germany, and others, and her particular experience advising on mitigation requirements that may apply as part of CFIUS clearances for cross-border transactions. Her diverse background was also highlighted by FIW, which includes the settlement of complicated enforcement matters before the US Departments of State, Commerce, Treasury, and Defense.
