SILICON VALLEY, September 13, 2022: Associate Ehsun Forghany has been recognized by The Recorder as among California’s next generation of legal leaders under 40, part of the publication’s California Leaders in Tech Law and Innovation Awards. The awards honor the achievements of lawyers and companies leading technology, innovation, and the legal profession as a whole.
Ehsun specializes in patent, copyright, trade secret, and related intellectual property (IP) disputes. A former prosecutor, he has tried more than 20 cases to verdict and argued well over 50 case-dispositive motions in both state and federal court. Ehsun also represents clients in high-stakes IP disputes before the US International Trade Commission, helping obtain (and defend against) exclusion orders barring the importation of products into the United States.
Among his most recent notable accomplishments, Ehsun helped secure a major International Trade Commission victory for three client groups in a complex patent infringement case involving wireless networking and routing technology. He also completed a full-time, three-month voluntary secondment— a first of its kind in California—to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office to address a backlog of criminal trials, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for crimes ranging from domestic violence to homicide.
Ehsun and his fellow honorees will be celebrated at the California Legal Awards ceremony on November 3 in San Francisco.
