In a preview published by Legaltech News on what 2023 might bring for the privacy space, partner Reece Hirsch highlighted impending consumer state privacy laws.
“In 2023, the US privacy regulatory landscape will be transformed when four more states join with California by enacting comprehensive state consumer privacy laws,” he said.
“As the privacy compliance obligations on businesses grow ever more complicated and burdensome, the pressure to enact federal privacy legislation will mount.”
