In commenting on the US Federal Communications Commission’s recent expansion of its reporting obligations for telecommunications carriers, partner Ron Del Sesto said that he thinks “part of [such expansion] is the agency trying to shore up and harmonize their cybersecurity obligations.”
However, Ron noted that some aspects of the rules are “duplicative” with what companies already have to report to states.
