As SEC Aims to Nix Exemptive Relief, ETFs Still Knocking on Agency’s Door, Ignites

Morgan Lewis partner John McGuire shares his view on the SEC’s proposed ETF rule 6c-11, which will standardize the conditions by which ETF sponsors bring active and index ETFs to market. McGuire notes in the article that the commission could put forth a final rule by April 2019, but a more realistic schedule would be sometime in the second quarter.
