DALLAS, November 1, 2016: Morgan Lewis has been honored with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP)'s 2016 Gold Award for Pro Bono Service in the Under 50 Dallas Office Attorneys category of the organization’s 34th Annual Pro Bono Awards. The Gold Award, one of the highest tiers of recognition DVAP bestows, honors the law firm office that accepted and closed the most pro bono cases in 2016.
DVAP is a joint program of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas dedicated to increasing and enhancing pro bono legal services for low-income clients. Morgan Lewis’s work on behalf of low-income clients through DVAP includes criminal-record sealing, uncontested divorces, and eviction defense.
The firm received the prestigious award at an awards reception on October 25.
