Aleksandr Markelov defends and counsels employers in labor and employment matters, including individual and class action litigation. Aleksandr’s work involves federal and state antidiscrimination and antiretaliation, wage and hour, contract, employment-related tort, and trade secrets law. Aleksandr also handles matters related to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), its state analogues, and national “Ban-the-Box” laws.
While in law school, Aleksandr served as associate editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment & Labor Law, director of the Bales Mock Trial Competition, and competed in multiple mock trial tournaments. He also worked as a law clerk at the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office.
