Amanda E. Brown represents employers in litigation involving federal and state claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, violations of leave law, violations of wage and hour law, whistleblower allegations, and breach of contract claims, as well as labor arbitrations. Amanda also advises clients on proactive litigation-avoidance strategies and various policy and procedure issues.
Amanda represents employers in litigation, arbitration, and administrative agency actions concerning both federal and state labor and employment laws. She regularly counsels employers on new hire practices and documentation, separation agreements, and employee handbooks.
Amanda represents clients in many sectors, including but not limited to, air transport, supply chain services, aerospace manufacturing, commercial real estate services, food services, and eCommerce.
Amanda’s experience includes negotiating favorable pre-litigation settlements, achieving pre-trial dismissal of employment discrimination lawsuits in both state and federal court, attaining labor arbitration rulings affirming just cause termination, and successfully arguing before courts of appeals.
