Amy Maloney focuses on project finance and development, working with sponsors and financing sources, including commercial and investment banks, private equity funds, insurance companies, and other institutional investors. Amy advises clients in the development, construction, operation, and debt and equity financing of various types of energy and infrastructure projects, including wind, solar and other renewable assets, gas and liquids pipelines, transmission lines, natural gas and coal-fired facilities, liquefied natural gas processing facilities and fuel storage facilities.
Amy’s transactions incorporate commercial bank debt, term loan B debt, 4(a)(2) private placement debt, “hybrid” bank/bond debt, and tax equity investments. She also works with sponsors and developers in project development activities, including the structuring and negotiation of commodity hedges, other project documents, and equipment financing.
Amy has been recognized in The Legal 500 US, with a group of senior lenders praising her for being "proactive and problem-solving" and for her "in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy financing market" in the 2017 edition.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, she was in the New York office of another global law firm, serving in its project development and finance practice.
