Anne Philpot represents clients in a wide array of employment matters, focusing on litigation involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, religious and disability accommodations, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour class actions. In addition to her pretrial practice, she represents clients on appeal, handling complex briefing in various state and federal appellate courts. Anne also counsels employers on policies and procedures that reduce the risk of litigation.
Anne maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented clients in disaster relief situations and child custody matters. In 2025, she received a Morgan Lewis Pro Bono Award for her work representing a family in collaboration with the King County Kinship Care project.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Anne served as law clerk to Judge Reed C. O’Connor on the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas and to Judge Lawrence VanDyke on the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. While in law school, Anne worked as a legal research associate at a Washington, DC–based think tank and as a Rule 9 law clerk in the Washington State Office of the Attorney General.
