Arriana Sajjad advises clients on navigating complex data privacy and cybersecurity incidents and state and federal investigations and enforcement actions. She has experience advising and coaching a variety of businesses, such as health systems, professional service firms, and educational institutions, on data privacy and cybersecurity matters and obligations with respect to state and federal privacy laws. Arriana also advises companies on all aspects of privacy and data security compliance, including the development of data privacy compliance programs, training modules, and developing internal policies and playbooks. She is admitted in Maryland only, and her practice is supervised by DC Bar members.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Arriana worked at another law firm, focusing on cybersecurity regulations, compliance frameworks, and emerging legal trends affecting the technology sector. Earlier in her carrier, Arriana clerked for Justice Michele D. Hotten on the Maryland Supreme Court. During law school, she worked in the Community Development Clinic, where she represented Baltimore-based nonprofit groups and organizations. Arriana also served on the executive board for the University of Baltimore School of Law’s flagship journal, Law Review, the National Moot Court Team, and worked as a teaching and research assistant.
