Arshak Zakarian represents financial institutions, developers, sponsors, and electric utilities in connection with debt financing and development of electric power generation projects, including utility-scale and distributed generation solar projects and battery energy storage projects located throughout the United States. Arshak also advises on mergers and acquisitions of power generation projects and on the execution of a range of commercial contracts for project development with respect to equipment supply, project construction, and the purchase of power and related products in the electric power sector.

Arshak advises both lenders and developers on construction and term loan financing as well as back-leverage and tax equity bridge loan financing transactions, which includes financing of community solar project portfolios as well as utility-scale solar projects. His experience also includes advising on build-own-transfer agreements, supply agreements and long-term maintenance contracts for utility-scale battery energy storage systems.
