Braden T. Fairweather
Brad Fairweather works with a team of antitrust lawyers to counsel clients on competition law challenges and deliver practical, defensible solutions, helping companies navigate government investigations, enforcement actions, and complex civil and class action litigation in a way that aligns legal strategy with business objectives.
Brad’s commitment to client service is grounded in his leadership and advocacy experience. At Duke Law, he competed internationally as a member of Duke’s Vis Moot team, earning an honorable mention for Best Respondent’s Memorandum at the 30th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and winning the Ninth London Pre-Moot, where he was awarded first runner-up for Best Speaker—recognitions that reflect his rigorous written advocacy and clear oral argument under pressure. Brad further broadened his global perspective through a semester at Université Panthéon-Assas in a global disputes settlement program, enhancing his facility with cross-border issues that frequently intersect with competition enforcement and litigation strategy. Brad also served on the boards of Duke Law’s Competition Law Society and the First-Generation Professionals organization, experiences that honed his ability to synthesize diverse perspectives and lead coordinated efforts—skills he now applies to cross-functional client teams facing sensitive antitrust scrutiny. At the University of California, Santa Cruz, Brad earned bachelor’s degrees in politics, history with honors, and legal studies with honors and distinction. He graduated cum laude and with Dean’s University Honors.
