Cole Lavoie

Cole Lavoie focuses his practice on project finance and the development, acquisition, and sale of energy and infrastructure projects.
During law school, Cole worked for a merchant transmission developer that specializes in the offshore wind and distributive energy industries. He also interned at the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, where he helped research and draft portions of agency decisions related to the development of investor-owned utilities. Cole was also a staff editor for the Journal of Science and Technology Law, for which he wrote his note on transaction cost economics in the offshore wind context. Before law school, Cole worked a variety of jobs, including as a heavy machine operator.
