Eric Mackie defends global and domestic clients during all stages of a broad range of employment litigation and arbitration matters, including claims involving unlawful retaliation, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and breach of contract. He represents clients in both state court and federal court, as well as before other state and federal agencies, including the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and the Illinois Human Rights Commission.
In addition to handling litigation matters from inception to close, Eric also devotes a significant portion of his practice to providing strategic counseling to business leaders on all aspects of the employee life cycle, including hiring, performance counseling, compensation, accommodations, leave, terminations, reductions in force, pay equity, internal investigations, and restrictive covenants.
Eric has been elected to the 2021 and 2022 Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” list and was selected as a fellow of the 2021 National Employment Law Council Academy.
Eric is a former judicial law clerk to Judges Jane R. Roth and Theodore A. McKee of the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and Judge R. Barclay Surrick of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
