Etienne D. Shanon is part of a team that counsels businesses going through mergers and acquisitions, including joint ventures, spin-offs, and strategic alliances. The group also advises clients on finance and restructuring; securities, including public and private equity and debt offerings; and tax matters. The group’s clients range from Fortune 500 companies to investment banks to emerging market companies. While attending law school, Etienne was an articles editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association QuarterlyJournal.
Etienne focuses his practice on public and private company mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate and compliance matters. He also advises clients on joint ventures, strategic alliances, carve-out transactions, and private placements. Etienne advises clients across numerous industries, including energy and natural resources, media and publishing, and financial services.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, he worked in the corporate department of a prominent law firm in New York City, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and corporate governance.
