Geneva Ramirez represents clients at all stages of complex litigation and governmental and regulatory investigations. She works with clients in a variety of industries and has experience defending financial services firms and individuals under investigation by financial regulatory authorities. She has represented clients in litigation involving criminal bribery charges, complex financial transactions, environmental exposures, breach of contract, product liability, the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, and violations of the Administrative Procedure Act.
Geneva maintains an active pro bono practice, representing incarcerated persons seeking to enforce their civil rights. In 2022, in a case before the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, she obtained reversal of summary judgment and injunctive relief against the Wisconsin Department of Corrections on behalf of an inmate who sought to enforce his religious freedoms under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act and the Fourth Amendment.
Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Geneva served as a legal extern for the Honorable Kathleen B. Burke, Magistrate Judge for the US District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio.
