Heidi Rasmussen is a commercial litigator who assists clients in business and corporate disputes in state and federal courts. She represents clients in a variety of industries, including aerospace, energy, healthcare, and technology, in commercial litigation and class actions and has additional experience representing clients in trade secret, personal injury, False Claims Act (FCA), and eminent domain disputes. Heidi previously served as a law clerk to Judge Ewing Werlein, Jr. of the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

  • A base oil company and its foreign parent company in a dispute with its distributor over an exclusive sales representative marketing agreement in a lawsuit in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas; the court dismissed the foreign parent for lack of personal jurisdiction; after a bench trial, the court held that neither party breached the contract
  • A medical device manufacturer in an FCA/Anti-Kickback Statute case in the Southern District of Texas with hundreds of millions of dollars in penalties at issue; the relator dismissed the case without any payment by our client shortly before trial
