Jim has handled more than 500 Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy filings and has represented clients in hundreds of US Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings and federal lawsuits. He advises clients and manages their global trademark portfolios, which comprise thousands of marks spanning diverse industries, including social media, ecommerce, software, and consumer products.
Jim is listed consistently in the annual Best Lawyers in America and World Trademark Review 1000 rankings.
He has served on the Council for the American Bar Association, Intellectual Property Law Section (ABA IPL), and is a former chair and special advisor to the ABA IPL Section's Division II—Trademarks and Unfair Competition. Prior to attending law school, Jim earned an MBA and worked as a financial analyst.
