James Kimble advises clients on multiemployer pension, training, and welfare benefit plans, including defined benefit plans, money purchase plans, profit-sharing plans, and 401(k) plans throughout the United States. Jim also counsels and represents plans in all aspects of plan administration, including plan drafting and compliance issues.
Jim has experience representing employee benefit plans before the US Department of Labor, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. His ERISA litigation experience encompasses the defense of employee benefit plans and their trustees from denial of benefit and breach of fiduciary duty claims. Jim advises plans with respect to the assessment and collection of employer withdrawal liability, and has represented employee benefit plans' claims in numerous bankruptcy matters across the US.
