Jesse C. Gonzalez
Jesse C. (J.C.) Gonzalez focuses his practice on privacy litigation and consumer class action defense. A member of the firm’s Class Action Working Group, J.C. represents clients in the retail, e-commerce, and technology sectors.
J.C. regularly counsels and defends against alleged violations of the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other state and federal privacy statutes.
In addition to his privacy practice, J.C.’s experience includes advising and defending retailers in other consumer matters, including claims involving California’s Gift Card Law, Song-Beverly Credit Card Act, Consumers Legal Remedies Act, false advertising law, anti-spam claims, and false reference pricing claims.
During his time at Duke University School of Law, J.C. served as a research assistant for Professor Lisa K. Griffin, focusing on emerging issues in evidence law and constitutional criminal procedure.
